Curriculum Vitae

Florian Nowotny began his teacher training in 2012 for the subjects of life design, ethics, religious studies and computer science. In the course of his master's thesis, he discovered new didactic possibilities through the advancing virtual reality technology and developed his first own application with a virtual mosque exploration for LER lessons.

Florian Nowotny has been working as a research assistant at the University of Potsdam since October 2019.
In the research project “Research | Learning - Digital (FoLD)”, he worked on micro-applications to promote intercultural skills and possible uses of virtual reality in the context of learner-centered educational offers.
From September 2022 to November 2023, as a representative of computer science in the interdisciplinary project “VReiraum”, he accompanied student teachers in the implementation of their first VR/AR teaching-learning settings.

Florian Nowotny is currently working in the DigiMix-PA project on VR scenarios for teaching the professional operation of precision agriculture technology and promoting an understanding of the potential of precision agriculture and awareness of overarching cycles of action.
