Berlin Network of Labor Market Research (BeNA)
The Berlin Network of Labor Market Research (BeNA) was founded in 2004 as a forum for the discussion and the development of research projects by young labor market researchers working at universities and research institutions in Berlin. It is coordinated by young scholars from the participating institutions, funded by the Berlin Social Science Center (WZB), the German Institute of Economic Research (DIW Berlin) and the RWI - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research, Berlin Office and supported by other collaborating institutions.
Next to biannual Guru Talks and an annual Lecture Series, an important part of the BeNA is its one-day Workshop, which takes place once per academic year. It gives young labor economists the opportunity to present and discuss their recent work and also features two invited talks to facilitate the exchange between junior and senior academics. Although it is targeted at PhD students, it is open to all people interested in labor market research.
