Content
This course deals with fundamental statistical methods and their applicability in business administration and economics. Students will be enabled to analyze economic theories and issues statistically and to interpret the results with regard to their content. After completion the students should have a methodological base for further studies.

- 19.04.: Kick-off Meeting: 4pm in presence (3.06.S21)
- 22.04. until 2 pm: Registration per email with topic preferences
- 25.04.: Introductory meeting: 9am (probably until 12pm) in presence (3.06.S27)
- 26.04.: Allocation of the topics
- from 29.04. on: Periodic meetings , every Friday, 10am-12pm, online via Zoom
- till 20.05.: Registration on PULS for seminar and portfolio presentation
- 24.05.: Intermediate presentation: 4pm in presence (3.06.S16)
- 15.06.: Submission deadline: 12pm, electronic version per email.
- 22.06.: Final presentations and discussions: 9am in presence (3.06.H06 and 3.06.S13)

Content
The aim of this course is to provide participants with a deeper understanding of microeconometric estimation techniques. We will use the topic “Policy Evaluation” to illustrate and discuss several methods under various types of assumptions.

The lecture will be complemented by a practical computer session where the estimators will be implemented using STATA.
