Content
This course deals with fundamental statistical methods and their applicability in business administration and economics. Students will be enabled to analyze economic theories and issues statistically and to interpret the results with regard to their content. After completion the students should have a methodological base for further studies.

- 22.04.: Introductory meeting: 10am (probably until 1pm)
- 30.04. to 11.06.: Periodic meetings , every Friday, 10am-12pm
- till 10.05.: Registration on PULS for seminar and portfolio presentation
- 20.05.: Intermediate presentation: 10am
- 16.06.: Submission deadline: 12pm, electronic version via email.
- 24.06.: Final presentations and discussions: 9am

Content
The aim of this course is to provide participants with a deeper understanding of microeconometric estimation techniques. We will use the topic “Policy Evaluation” to illustrate and discuss several methods under various types of assumptions.

The lecture will be complemented by a practical computer session where the estimators will be implemented using STATA.
