Current Calls for Proposals
UP Funding Lines
KoUP-Funding 2025 | Deadline: January 15th 2025
Call for proposals cooperation funding "KoUP"
The KoUP funding line has developed into an important university funding instrument. In 2025, we will no longer limit this funding to a selection of countries, but will open it up worldwide. We are also doing this in order to better take your interests into account in the new internationalization strategy that is currently being developed. Collaborations within the framework of our partnerships, our European university alliance European Digital UniverCity (EDUC) and with universities from the YERUN network are also very welcome in 2025.
With KoUP, the university supports the establishment and expansion of international collaborations in the three pillars of research, teaching and knowledge transfer. The aim is for the funding to be used in the medium term to prepare a joint application for third-party funding or joint publications or to develop or initiate formats and partnerships for the internationalization of studies and teaching. The sustainability of the project (e.g. in terms of the intended application for third-party funding or the commitment to achieving student exchange) should already be presented in the application. The list of eligible activities can be found in the call for proposals.
The application, which can be submitted in English or German, consists of (i) the form (Excel), (ii) a description of the joint project of no more than one page (exposé template). The application must highlight the potential and relevance of the project for the internationalization of the university. The contribution the project can make to this must be outlined. In addition, (iii) a financial plan must be included, which may also include own funds. When applying for travel expenses, the universities/faculties to be visited must be specified. Calculation basis for travel expenses
Deadline: January 15, 2025
