DAAD - Summer Schools
- Summer Schools in Germany [in German]
The program is aimed at German universities planning high-quality summer schools in Germany for international students and doctoral candidates. The aims of the program are: attracting qualified international students and doctoral candidates; further professional training in current research areas as well as professional and cultural exchange between international and German participants; insight into German teaching and research institutions; positioning of German universities on the international education market.
- Summer Schools Abroad [in German]
This program is directed at German institutions of higher education that plan and implement high-quality summer schools abroad for international students and doctoral candidates. Objectives are: attracting qualified international students and doctoral candidates; further professional training in current research areas as well as professional and cultural exchange between international and German participants; insight into German teaching and research practices; positioning of German universities on the international education market.

DAAD Alumni Program
- DAAD Alumni Program
Funding is provided for subject-related training events (duration 3-10 days) in Germany or abroad for alumni from industrialized countries (AA) and developing countries (BMZ) as well as other measures taken by universities to improve contact with international alumni. Funding is provided for international students who have completed their studies as students, graduates, scientists or lecturers at a German university or who have studied, researched or worked at a German university for at least three months and who are now generally working abroad again.

Franco-German University (Deutsch-Französische Hochschule DFH)
- Support for scholarly events for junior reseachers, research studios, summer schools [in German]
The Franco-German University (DFH) promotes Franco-German events for doctoral and postdoctoral students within the framework of scientific networks and the Franco-German dialogue. In justified cases, master’s students or students of comparable levels may also participate in the sponsored events. The call is directed at German and French universities as well as non-university research institutions. The inclusion of a third country is welcome. The call for proposals is open to all disciplines. The projects can be carried out either as individual events (two days to four weeks) or as a structured series of events. In the latter case, individual events are to be held at regular intervals over a period of a maximum of 24 months.
