Internationalization at a Glance
University of Potsdam: International und Cosmopolitan
International contacts are important for academic excellence in teaching and research. The internationalization of the University of Potsdam makes an important contribution to the future viability of the university: International students and lecturers enrich everyday university life in a variety of ways and contribute to securing the country's skilled workforce. The University of Potsdam therefore does a great deal to strengthen its relationships with international partner universities and to increase the mobility of its members.
This is achieved through the involvement in the European University Alliance EDUC and the many Erasmus+ contracts in the European research area and worldwide, but also through bilateral university contracts and the UP-internal mobility scheme KoUP.
Last but not least, "Internationalization at Home" is an important component of internationalization: In recent years, the University of Potsdam has consistently expanded its range of English-language master's programs and double degree programs. With regard to postgradual studies the University of Potsdam is also excellently positioned: The high number of international doctoral students and postdocs as well as the high number of Humboldt fellows underscore Potsdam's international attractiveness.
