DAAD Prize 2019
This year's DAAD Prize goes to Guy Levy. The socially engaged psychology student was awarded the scholarship for his outstanding achievements.
Guy Levy was born in Jerusalem. In June 2014, he came to Berlin and after two years of work, he decided to study for a Bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Potsdam. He is particularly enthusiastic about the variety of different specialisations and focus areas. In the future, he plans to complete his Master's degree with a focus on clinical psychology and work in the field of trauma.
His interest in interpersonal relationships is not limited to his studies. In addition to being a student assistant at the Department of Psychological Research Methods, he also works as a bartender. His social commitment includes involvement in the organisation of psychological first aid, as well as mentoring a student in the buddy programme. In his position as a student representative on the Humanities Faculty Council, he works to solve the shortage of seminar places and to create a good atmosphere between students and lecturers.
According to Guy Levy, receiving the DAAD Prize gives him the certainty that his work is of great importance and encourages him to work for others. The University of Potsdam congratulates him and wishes him every success in his professional career.
