Colloquium for writing the Master's thesis

Objective The aim of the colloquium is to provide academic support for the writing and research process of Master's students in the field of leadership, organisation and human resources. As part of the course, students have the opportunity to present their research project in a plenary session, receive feedback from fellow students and supervisors on the topic, research question and methodology and clarify open questions. Workshops on dealing with scientific texts, scientific writing, data analysis using SPSS and peer reviews support the writing process.
Learning content Students are able to independently develop research questions and investigate them within the framework of methodologically sophisticated studies. They have the ability to evaluate various options for testing hypotheses with regard to their respective advantages and disadvantages and can independently conduct experiments/field studies to quantitatively test research hypotheses.
Target group Students who would like to write their thesis at the Chair of Leadership, Organisational Behavior and Human Resource Management or who have already been accepted as supervisors for their Master's thesis.
Requirements Portfolio examination, consisting of active participation, graded short presentation (research model, hypotheses, theoretical basis) + subsequent discussion --> 15 min [25%], graded exposé (approx. 10 pages) [75%] and feedback contributions in Moodle (approx. 5 pages)
