Examination board of the Educational Sciences Secondary Education Stages I/II

Prof. Dr. Dirk Richter is chairman of the examination board for educational sciences in the teaching profession for secondary education stages I and II and in this function is responsible for the recognition of study and examination credits, for the granting of compensation for disadvantages and for the confirmation of the subject assignment sheets in this subject. Please note the following procedures for the respective concerns:

Registration of a Bachelor's or Master's thesis in the teaching profession in secondary education I/II.

For the preparation of a Bachelor's or Master's thesis, an Application for assigning the topic for the final thesis via PULS must be filled out, printed and signed. Afterwards the first and second supervisors of the thesis must sign it, too. It should be noted that the first examiner must have at least a doctorate and one of the two examiners must regularly teach in the subprogram Educational Sciences. The completed and signed form is then sent by e-mail to Prof. Dr. Dirk Richter (dirk.richteruni-potsdamde). The document is then checked and signed and sent back to the student.

Application for recognition of study and examination credits

You must submit a corresponding application for the recognition of study and examination achievements already completed. The Student Advisory Service for Educational Sciences in the Teacher Training Program offers you support with this. Therefore, please inform yourself on the website of the Student Advisory Service about the application process and, if necessary, take advantage of the personal counselling provided by the Student Advisory Service team. The student counselling team will check your application before you submit it, point out any ambiguities or missing documents, obtain the signature of the examination board chairperson for you and explain the decisions made to you if necessary.

Application for disadvantage compensation

In order to be granted compensation for disadvantages, you must first submit a corresponding application. The Student Counselling Service for Educational Sciences in the Teaching Qualification offers you support with this. Therefore, please inform yourself about the application process on the Student Advisory Service website and, if necessary, take advantage of the personal counselling provided by the Student Advisory Service team. The student counselling team will check your application before you submit it, point out any ambiguities or missing documents, obtain the signature of the examination board chairperson for you and explain the decisions made to you if necessary.
