BIOPIC

In BIOPIC werden wir einen integrierten Modellierungsrahmen entwickeln, der in der Lage ist, die komplexen Rollen von Demografie, Ausbreitung und biotischen Interaktionen bei der Gestaltung von Artennischen zu entwirren und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Reaktion der Bevölkerung und der Gemeinschaft auf den globalen Wandel zu bewerten. Das Framework und seine einzelnen Komponenten werden anhand einer Mischung aus simulierten und empirischen Daten validiert und als Testfall für Vogelgemeinschaften operationalisiert. Das Projekt wird sich insbesondere auf fünf Hauptforschungsziele konzentrieren, die darauf abzielen, (1) unser Verständnis zu verbessern, wie Lebensgeschichte und Umwelt die Ausbreitung beeinflussen, (2) unser Verständnis zu verbessern, wie Lebensgeschichte und Demographie die Nischen von Arten prägen, (3) unser Verständnis zu verbessern wie biotische Interaktionen Artennischen formen, (4) dynamische Verteilungsmodelle für mehrere Arten zu entwickeln und zu operationalisieren und (5) neue Biodiversitätsszenarien für europäische Vögel zu entwickeln. Insgesamt wird das vorgeschlagene Projekt die wissenschaftliche Grundlage für modellbasierte Biodiversitätsbewertungen verbessern und die Zuverlässigkeit von Biodiversitätsvorhersagen für breite räumliche Skalen erhöhen, indem es sowohl theoretische als auch konzeptionelle Fortschritte liefert und praktische Anforderungen und Richtlinien für die Entwicklung und Anwendung von Biodiversitätsmodellen definiert.
