Intense discussions and new collaborations
Joint research projects live from fruitful and regular exchange
In March 2022, German project partners from the University of Potsdam and the University of Kassel met in Potsdam to discuss about similarities and differences between their work tasks.
Specifically, they explored which goals the respective work packages are pursuing in detail and which expectations prevail regarding data generation. Additionally, discussions were held about how to adapt the IPCC approach aiming to include region-specific emission factors and thus calculating greenhouse gas emissions from land-use change and agricultural interventions in West Africa. This fruitful exchange of activities and the mutual enrichment through ideas and expertise clearly showed how important close cooperation between the project partners are.
