Cooperation with the Campus School Network

In cooperation with the Campus School Network, a practical seminar on "Motivational Teaching" has been developed with the aim of networking in-service and student teachers at the University of Potsdam as well as teachers in the entire state of Brandenburg. 

For this, students work in small groups to create a 90-minute lesson plan designed to increase motivation and test it in a participating school in Brandenburg. The lesson plans take into account general motivation-promoting lesson characteristics.

The seminar assists the theory-praxis transfer in teacher education, in addition to increasing knowledge and competence around motivating teaching. Student teachers attend a practical seminar with a high proportion of self-reflection and feedback from teachers and lecturers. Teachers, on the other hand, act as mentors for the student teachers,  give and receive ideas for creating motivating lessons and ultimately receive the lesson plans for their respective subject.
