Volume License Activation (KMS)

The ZIM of the University of Potsdam offers a central 'Key Management Service' KMS. The KMS service finds its application in the activation for Microsoft licenses procured centrally by ZIM. Operating systems, Office and server licenses can be activated via the central KMS service.

Generally, when you procure the products listed below, ZIM will send you the installation medium or the download link and the activation files. You can access the software store here: https://zim-portal.uni-potsdam.de/zeik-portal/shop/swzg.php .

In exceptional cases, for example when you are abroad, you can also activate your license directly through Microsoft using a MAK license code. The MAK license code is available on request from the above e-mail address.
