At the beginning of the event, Prof. Oliver Günther, Ph.D., President of the University of Potsdam, and Dr. Ute Rzeha, Head of Trade Fair Services & Technology Transfer at Potsdam Transfer, welcomed all participants. This was followed by informative presentations by Annette Vossel, TH Wildau, and Julia Hinz Standortmanagement Golm GmbH (Potsdam Science Park), as well as an international experience report by Dr. Isabel Nahal Schellinger, co-founder and Managing Director of Angiolutions GmbH.
The highlight of the first day of the conference was a look into the laboratories of the Potsdam start-up Ordinary Seafood, which develops plant-based alternatives to fish and seafood, which could then be tasted. Dr. Fabian Machens, Head of Research and Development at Ordinary Seafood, introduced the participants to state-of-the-art food technology methods and the young start-up team’s mission to counteract the effects of industrial fishing and the associated impact on humans, animals and the environment.
On the second day of the conference, participants took part in a Lego© Serious Play© workshop led by Potsdam Transfer to learn about strategies for creative thinking in teams and companies and for improved communication.
