New volume on prefects and territorial executives in Europe published

In the book "Prefects, Governors, and Commissioners", published in the series "Governance and Public Management" of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS)) by Palgrave and edited by Gildas Tanguy and Jean-Michel Eymeri-Douzans, executive actors of territorial administration in various European countries are examined in detail.

In the chapter: "Territorial Administration in Germany: Institutional Variants, Reforms, and Actors at the Meso-Level of Government," Sabine Kuhlmann and Jörg Bogumil examine the institutional structures, reforms, and leadership structures of territorial administration in Germany, with a particular focus on Regierungspräsidien and Landkreise.
