Luise Schubert of the department of energy and water management at EWP guided researchers from the University of Potsdam through the different areas of the Nedlitz waterworks and explained the special features as well as supply areas of the Potsdam waterworks. During the tour, the participants exchanged views on technological challenges in water treatment and discussed possibilities for joint project development. The exchange between science and industry is an important aspect of business-related knowledge and technology transfer to identify the needs of companies and find possible applications for university research. Potsdam Transfer promotes cooperation between researchers at the University of Potsdam and (regional) companies through its own event formats at the university as well as visits to companies.
