Dear professors, dear colleagues, dear students,
We would like to cordially invite you to the presentation of newly appointed professorson November 6, 2024, where Prof. Dr. Tobias Wiemer and Prof. Dr. Hannes Mohrschladt will introduce themselves. In addition to the opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues and students, Prof. Dr. Wiemer and Prof. Dr. Mohrschladt will give an insight into their research areas. We are looking forward you. A registration is not necessary.
Prof. Dr. Tobias Wiemer helds the Chair of Technology and Technical Education at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam since April 2024. His research focuses on maker education, particularly in teaching and learning laboratory settings, and the use of augmented reality to support self-directed learning processes in the field of general technical education. Professor Wiemer will give a lecture on “An introduction to maker education”.
Prof. Dr. Hannes Mohrschladt helds the professorship for “Business Administration, especially Finance” at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam since August 2024. His research focuses on the question of how people process information, what systematic errors they make and how this behavior affects stock markets. Based on his current research, Professor Mohrschladt will give an overview of “Heuristics and biases in the processing of information”.
