Dr. Agata D. Gałkiewicz

Agata Gałkiewicz joined the Chair of Economics, in particular Economic Policy in May 2021 as a student assistant. In January 2022, she became a research assistant while pursuing her PhD at the University of Potsdam. She successfully defended her doctoral dissertation titled “Essays in Economics of Education: Fostering Human Capital Accumulation by Improving Educational Outcomes and Well-Being of Children, Teenagers, and Young Adults” in November 2025 and is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher. From 2022 to 2025, she was affiliated with the Institute for Employment Research (IAB).  Her research interests lie in education economics and labor market economics.
