We are happy to announce that the paper "A Library in the Palm of Your Hand? A Randomized Reading Intervention with Low-Income Children" by Silke Anger, Bernhard Christoph, Agata Galkiewicz, Shushanik Margaryan, Frauke Peter, Malte Sandner and Thomas Siedler has been published in the IZA Institute of Labor Economics Discussion Paper Series.

15.10.2024 | Joachim-Herz Add-on Fellowship
Shushan Margaryan received the Joachim Herz Add-on Fellowship for Interdisciplinary Economics with a grant of 12.000 EUR. Congrats, Shushan!
10.10.2024 | Approval DFG research group project
The German Research Foundation (DFG) has approved our research group proposal (DFG-Forschungsgruppe) on the topic "Transformations in the Labor Market: Skilled Worker Shortages, Lack of Qualifications, and the Role of Policy"! This is a joint initiative of the Berlin School of Economics (BSoE), with the Center for Economic Policy Analysis (CEPA) at the University of Potsdam involved in three of the seven projects. Looking very much forward to this exciting research project and the intensive collaboration within the Berlin School of Economics and these fantastic colleagues: Maja Adena, Natalia Danzer, Shushanik Margaryan, Katharina Wrohlich, Alexandra Spitz-Oener, Sulin Sardoschau, Peter Haan, Jonas Jessen, Max Steinhardt, Jan Marcus, Marco Caliendo, Jan Nimczik, and Christian Traxler. Special thanks to our Spokesperson Peter Haan!
Shushanik Margaryan and Thomas Siedler will receive around EUR 220,000 for 4 years for the sub-project “Educational policy interventions and labor market-relevant results”.

We are happy to announce that the paper titled "War, International Spillovers, and Adolescents: Evidence from Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine in 2022" by Silke Anger, Bernhard Christoph, Agata Galkiewicz, Shushanik Margaryan, Frauke Peter, Malte Sandner and Thomas Siedler is forthcoming in the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization (JEBO).
