Information about a Post-Doctoral Dissertation (Habilitation)
The habilitation, or post-doctoral degree, is the highest university degree that can be awarded. It determines the candidate’s ability to teach and research autonomously and responsibly in a particular academic field.
The Faculty of Arts establishes during the habilitation process teaching competence in an academic discipline and will award on successful completion the academic degree “doctor philosophiae habilitatus" (Dr. phil. habil.)
You will find all required information on a habilitation on the Faculty of Arts on this page.
