Doctoral Committee

The doctoral committee is responsible for organising doctorates. According to the doctoral regulations, its tasks include

1.     Determining fulfilment of the admission requirements for the doctoral procedure,
2.     Opening the doctoral procedure,
3.     Appointing the examination committee for each individual doctoral procedure and assigning the chairmanship to a committee member for the doctoral procedure in question,
4.     Monitoring the deadlines specified in the doctoral degree regulations,
5.     Reviewing the course of the doctoral procedure if an objection is raised by those involved in the procedure,
6.     Deciding on declarations of invalidity,
7.     Deciding on the withdrawal of the doctoral degree,
8.     accepting proposals for honorary doctorates and appointing a committee to examine them.
