Doctoral Committee
The doctoral committee is responsible for organising doctorates. According to the doctoral regulations, its tasks include
- Determining fulfilment of the admission requirements for the doctoral procedure,
- Opening the doctoral procedure,
- Appointing the examination committee for each individual doctoral procedure and assigning the chairmanship to a committee member for the doctoral procedure in question,
- Monitoring the deadlines specified in the doctoral degree regulations,
- Reviewing the course of the doctoral procedure if an objection is raised by those involved in the procedure,
- Deciding on declarations of invalidity,
- Deciding on the withdrawal of the doctoral degree,
- accepting proposals for honorary doctorates and appointing a committee to examine them.
