Research and promotion of young academics

The Faculty of Science has particular strengths in the areas of research and the promotion of young researchers in the interdisciplinary research foci of Earth Sciences and Life Sciences. The faculty also has a strong profile in the areas of soft matter and complex systems.
New buildings with state-of-the-art equipment are available for research and teaching in Golm.
Furthermore, close cooperative relationships exist between the Faculty of Sciences and the non-university institutions at the Science Park Golm. These range from basic research to application-oriented research and are substantiated through many jointly appointed professors and numerous projects.
