After the defense

1. After the disputation, your doctoral procedure will be discussed at the next meeting of the doctoral committee and a recommendation to conclude the doctoral procedure will be made to the Dean.
2. You will receive notification of this and will be asked to publish your dissertation. (example of titel page)
3. Your certificate will be drawn up and submitted to the Dean and the President for signature.
4. As soon as your signed certificate is available in the office, you will receive a message that you can collect your certificate. Please note that you will only receive your certificate once your dissertation has been published and the revision certificate has been received.

Notes on the publication of the dissertation

The certificate can only be issued if the dissertation has been published (§ 15 of the doctoral degree regulations). This is done either by submitting 10 bound copies to the IKMZ (Ms. Münnich - Golm Campus, Building 18, Room 1.23) or by means of an electronic version and 4 bound copies, which must also be submitted to the University Library (Mr. Will - Golm Campus, Building 18, Room 1.21).
