Jakob Kühler, M.A.
Research and Teaching Associate
Jakob Kühler is an academic assistant and doctoral student in the DFG project DIGILOG at the Chair of Public and Nonprofit Management. He is working on the internal dynamics of the digital transformation of public administration with a special focus on the municipal level. His research interests include the introduction of innovations in the public sector, such as agile working methods, the implementation of digitization strategies, and the development of digital capacities in public administration structures.
Jakob Kühler studied Public Governance across Borders at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and the University of Twente in the Netherlands. He then completed a Master's degree in National and International Administration and Policy at the University of Potsdam. During his studies, he gained professional experience at an association of German industry in Brussels, at a political communication agency and at an IT consultancy in Berlin. He also worked as a research assistant at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the Competence Center for Public IT at Fraunhofer FOKUS.
During his studies, Jakob Kühler was a scholarship holder of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Since March 2022, he works as a Research and Teaching Associate at the University of Potsdam.
