Dr. Matthias Döring

Research Associate

Since 2014 until 2020, Matthias Döring has worked as a research and teaching associate at the Chair of Public and Nonprofit Management. His dissertation deals with interactions between public empolyees and citizens. His research focuses on street-level bureaucrats, digitization  in public administration as well as Health Management.

He studied Public Policy and Management and Business Administration at the University of Potsdam with a focus on Public Management. During his studies he spent one semester abroad at the University of Bergen (Norway). In 2015, Matthias Döring worked at the Federal Ministry of Health.In his research he focuses on performance as well as quality management and Public Health. In addition, he is a temporary lecturer at the Berlin School of Economics and Law and the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin in the study program "Public and Nonprofit Management".

He took part in the Junior Teaching Professionals program of Potsdam Graduate School and therefore deepened his didactic abilities.

In December 2019 he completed his doctoral thesis with summa cum laude. Since March 2020 he acts as "Assistant Professor" for Public Management at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. He joins their team at the Department of Political Science and Public Management.
