Ha Eun Choi

Academic assistant in the ‘EU Horizon 2020’ project

    Since April 2024, Ha Eun Choi has been working as a postdoc in the EU Horizon 2020 project ‘ENSURED’, which is led by Prof Dr Liese and Prof Dr Sommerer at the University of Potsdam.

    She is about to complete her PhD at Michigan State University (USA). Her current research focuses on three areas: the design of trade agreements, human rights, and the effectiveness of international organisations.

    Her dissertation examines how provisions on women's rights are included in trade agreements. In other work, she examines the effectiveness of UN diplomacy, such as the impact of the UN Secretary-General's state visits on human rights and the allocation of foreign aid.
