Dear students, dear lecturers,

the School of Jewish Theology and the Institute of Jewish Studies and Religous Science cordially invite you to the opening of the semester on 3 November2021 at 6pm at Neues Palais, building 9, room 1.14.

Prof. Grażyna Jurewicz, newly appointed Junior Professor of Jewish Religious and Cultural History in Eastern Europe, will introduce her research projects and current work.

Prof. Johann Ev. Hafner and Dr. Stefan Gatzhammer will present their recently appeared volume  "Ferman 74. Der Genozid an den Jesiden 2014/15" (Ferman 74. The Genocide against the Yezidi 2014/15) and report on their excursion to North Iraq.

The presentations will be followed by a get-together, organzied by the Departmental Student Committees of Jewish Studies and Jewish Theology.
