1982-88 study of philosophy and theology in Augsburg, Munich and Vigan/Philippines. 1990-2002 Assistant at the Chair of Pastoral Theology at University of Augsburg. 1995 doctorate in philosophy. 1996/1997 visiting lecturer of systematic theology at the University of Dayton/USA. 2001 habilitation in systematic theology. 2005 deacon. Since 2004, Professor of Religious Studies with Focus on Christianity at the University of Potsdam. 2010-2014 Dean of the Faculty of Arts. 2015/2016 Visiting researcher at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles.
