Prof. Dr. phil. habil. Robert Skoczek

Prof. Dr. phil. habil. Robert Skoczek is a phonetician, linguist and certified interpreter. He studied German linguistics in Lublin and Rostock. In 2008, he completed his doctorate in German phonetics in Jena (speech science and phonetics) and Lublin (German linguistics). After his habilitation at the Department of Speech Science and Phonetics of Martin-Luther Universität Halle-Wittenberg he has been holding a substitute professorship there since 2019. His teaching and research focus on speech science and linguistics as well as German as a foreign language. Within the framework of the orthoepy research in Halle he is contributing to the German Pronunciation Database.

Professor Skoczek has combined his expertise with teaching German as a foreign language for many years. He teaches phonetics, German language and terminology courses on a regular basis.
