Prof. Anja Linstädter was interviewed on the German radio program “Deutschlandfunk Kultur”, where she discussed desertification processes in Europe and globally. She explained their causes and key drivers, such as climate change and land-use intensification, as well as the varying speeds at which desertification progresses. Prof. Linstädter also highlighted the concept of tipping points, a central focus of NamTip‘s research in Namibia, and shared examples of successful restoration efforts worldwide, addressing the challenges these initiatives face.
