This lecture series introduces student teachers to the psychological foundations of learning and teaching. Contents from the following sub-disciplines of psychology are covered: general psychology, biopsychology, developmental psychology, personality psychology, and social psychology.

Seminars on Learning and Development in a Social Context
Various seminars will be offered in parallel to the lecture series and will offer more in-depth insights into topics from the lecture series. These include dealing with learning and behavioral disorders, mental health of teachers, bullying, and self-regulated learning.

Master’s Program
Lecture Series: Introduction to Educational-Psychological Diagnostics
This lecture series introduces student teachers to educational-psychological diagnostic, focusing on its application in the school context. It covers the methodological foundations of psychological diagnostics as well as key diagnostic survey methods (tests, interviews, observations).

Seminar for the Psychodiagnostic Internship
The aim of the seminar is to practice and reflect on diagnostic methods that are used as part of the diagnostic tasks of the internship. The seminar consists of block sessions on the preparation, monitoring, and evaluation of the psychodiagnostic internship.
