Intrinsically Disordered Proteins - Dr. Anja Thalhammer
Welcome to our research pages!
We are studying the structure function relationship of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs).
IDPs are defined by their lack of secondary structure in dilute aqueous solutions, contradicting the classical protein structure-function paradigm. They are highly abundant in nature, with predictions suggesting more than 30% of all eukaryotic proteins being IDPs or containing large intrinsically disordered regions.
