Short biography:
Prof. Dr. rer. pol.; studies in political science, economics and sociology at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Freie Universität Berlin and Stanford University (California, USA). 1998-2006 research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Köln. Doctoral thesis (Dr. rer. Pol.) in 2003 at the University Bremen and habilitation in 2006 at the University Köln. 2006-2007 junior professor for comparative government at the University Mannheim. Since 2007 university professor for Comparative Politics at the University Potsdam.
Articles published in Comparative Political Studies, Journal of European Public Policy, Party Politics, Journal of European Social Policy, Politische Vierteljahresschrift, Zeitschrift für Internationale Beziehungen, Swiss Political Science Review, Australian Journal of Political Science, Global Social Policy and Jahrbuch für Handlungs- und Entscheidungstheorie and others.
