Physics Education

The subject didactic research at the University of Potsdam deals with the development of new content for teaching as well as with empirical subject didactic basic research. The development of new content involves the integration of experiments with smartphones into school lessons and teacher training courses. Additionally, newer content areas such as particle physics are starting to be prevalent in physics highschool lessons. In the area of ​​fundamental didactic research, we deal with the modeling and recording of physical competence at various stages of education at school and university, with particular consideration of the mathematical requirements in physics.
