• Studied political science at the Political Science Department of the Free University of Berlin
• 1997: Diploma based on a thesis on the continuity of concepts of National Socialist Europe in early right-wing extremism in the Federal Republic of Germany
• 1999-2003: PhD scholarship from the Hans Böckler Foundation
• 2003: Doctorate at the Department of Political and Social Sciences at the Free University of Berlin - Otto Suhr Institute for Political Science - based on a thesis on: "Political Science" in action. The German Institute for Foreign Studies and the Faculty of Foreign Studies at the University of Berlin 1940-1945
• 2014: Habilitation and appointment as a private lecturer for political science at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam on the basis of a cumulative written habilitation on: The "national opposition" in the Federal Republic of Germany. Studies on the history of the extreme right
• 2018: Associate professor at the University of Potsdam, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences
