2008: 1. Award in the German-Polish Essay Competition for an essay on "It's the communication, stupid. Ein Plädoyer für eine Verständigung jenseits des deutsch-polnischen Versöhnungskitsches" (It's the communication, stupid. Pleading for a communication beyond a German-Polish conciliation kitsch"), announced by the University of Potsdam.

2007: 'Europe Award' for the Master thesis "Polens Rückkehr nach Europa. Warum sich die Europäische Union für ihre Osterweiterung entschied" (Poland's return to Europe. Why the European Union opted for its Eastern enlargement), granted by the Verein Berliner Kaufleute und Industrieller e.V. (VBKI, Society of Berlin Merchants and Industrialists).
