We see every training and every workshop as an exchange of experiences on an equal footing. With good humour, playful lightness and with a view to the wishes of the participants, we design recognised training courses for teachers, practice partners and PhD students according to your time frame, from introductory workshops to workshop days.

A particularly important concern for us is the mutual transfer between university and school. With this in mind, we would like to engage in a mutually beneficial exchange with you as (prospective) teachers in our training courses and workshops. In doing so, we would like to a) provide you with practical experiences, impulses as well as exercises from our various projects in an interactive format and b) at the same time also use your valuable expertise for the further development of the projects. After completing the training, you will have the opportunity to access the digital material platforms of the projects. In the course of the training you will receive the respective password for the use of the materials on our digital platform Open.UP.

Are you interested in the topics of our projects and want to use their contents for your lessons? Would you like to take part in a training course in which you can not only passively absorb content, but primarily try out exercises and materials interactively? Then please contact us (see contact below at the bottom of this page). We look forward to your interest and commitment!

"Let us share our knowledge and experience!"

We will offer training sessions for teachers on our project "Fair Debating and Written Argumentation" starting in the school year 2022/2023. This training includes a series of lessons on debating (inspired by the concept of "Jugend debattiert") and on written argumentation. The offer is designed for many different subject areas.

For further information feel free to contact us.

In addition, you have the opportunity to become part of our study “Fair Debating and Written Argumentation”. You will receive empirically-based insights into the reading-, writing-, and debating skills of your ninth-grade students. For more information, please check the flyer “Training Plus Fair Debating and Written Argumentation”

If you would like to register or have questions, please feel free to contact us.

We are looking forward to an active exchange of ideas!

This is what teachers had to say about the ‘Fair Debating and Discussing’ project (quotes from the evaluation):

  •    [G]iven the spontaneous feedback and taking up the questions was helpful. Lots of good materials.
  •     The practical exercises were fun! =)
  •     It was relaxed and nice that we could laugh.
  •     We were able to try out a lot of things ourselves, I'd love to do more!
  •     I'm very grateful that we have free access to lots of materials after the training.

Training offer for (prospective) teachers on the project "Stop Bullying! - A theater project

Dramas on the topic of bullying offer a student-centred opportunity to deal with this topic in grades 5 to 7 and to discuss appropriate options for action. A drama not only provides a natural reading stimulus, but also motivates the pupils to engage with the topic. Furthermore, the individual self-efficacy of the participating pupils is strengthened during a theatre project and social interaction is improved in inclusive learning settings. The Brandenburg Police supports the participating schools within the project with an informative parents' evening on the topic.

We offer all interested (prospective) teachers the opportunity to gain an insight into the course plans, materials used and the inclusive methods of the project as part of a further training course. You will also receive information about publishers and suitable plays. We will also try out plays and reflect on them. We will be happy to arrange individual appointments with you at your school or via Zoom and will be available for advice and support during the implementation.

If you would like to register or ask us any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to a fruitful exchange with you!

Training offer for (prospective) teachers on the project "The Application Day

Writing cover letters digitally with all students - a workshop for teachers (Part I)

This active workshop is about writing cover letters and related documents. First, we will provide a short and crisp insight into current studies. We will then explore how cover letter writing can be done concretely with a class. In doing so, we will also take a look at the opportunities and challenges of digital tools. You will receive numerous practical tips from evaluated teaching sequences. Afterwards, the first own teaching ideas will be developed collaboratively.

Practicing job interviews with all students - a workshop for teachers (Part II)

In the second part of the workshop, the current requirements of a job interview are explained. This knowledge is to be classified and used for personal school teaching. Therefore, in the main part possible teaching sequences for this area will be developed together. Furthermore, a network for ongoing support for the school project "The Job Application Day" is to be created.

These workshops will be held digitally on two afternoons from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. after consultation with the interested teachers. In addition, four coaching appointments (30 minutes each) are offered during the implementation phase.

Interested? Feel free to contact us! We will advise you and coordinate the workshop dates together.
