GPT.UP offers access to various AI models. Per request (a prompt) users can choose one model that best suits their prompt, but generally, users can mix different models. With each new request and chosen model, the selected AI model receives both the prompt and the previous conversation.

Which AI Model should I choose?

The GWDG (“Gesellschaft für wissenschaftliche Datenverarbeitung mbH Göttingen”, a service organization which works in conjunction with the University of Göttingen and the Max Planck Society, focusing on digital learning and teaching) recommends Meta LLaMA 3.1 8B Instruct (a model by the GWDG itself) for general queries. Among the Microsoft models, OpenAI GPT-4o is the most powerful model.

Which AI Model is suitable for which use case?

Each AI model has its own strengths and weaknesses, mostly dependent on the training material and the IT resources that are used. In the case of Microsoft models, the financial costs must be taken into account. The website Hugging Face lists extensive details on each model.
