This summer semester, you can look forward to an exciting and varied programme at the WCW under the motto ‘Empowerment in Science’. Are you on a career path in science, considering it or struggling with the decision to leave or stay? In our programme you will find a variety of workshops on practical empowerment and skills in the world of science. The programme is designed to network, educate and strengthen you. You are not alone.

About the WCW
The academy of the Equal Opportunities Coordination Office is funded by the BMBF's Professorinnenprogramm and aims to provide target group-specific, needs-oriented and innovative offers to pave the way for more women to become professors and to enable them to remain in academia.
To this end, we offer a wide range of workshops and lectures to empower female scientists and to raise awareness of anti-discrimination, equality, diversity and biases among people with management and personnel responsibility.
Our focus is on
- expanding interdisciplinary soft skills, abilities and profiles
- developing realistic strategies for career planning in science
- creating and utilizing meaningful and helpful networks
- educate and close gaps in the area of equal opportunities
These offers are aimed at female scientists, university members in appointment procedures, managers with personnel responsibility, as well as interested parties at the University of Potsdam and its research institutions who want to take the opportunity to raise their awareness and further develop themselves in the program.
Conditions of participation
All events and workshops of the Continuing Education Academy can be booked independently by the following groups of people:
- Female academics at the University of Potsdam
- Managers with personnel responsibility and university management
- University members in appointment procedures
- People in academia who are interested in the topic of equal opportunities
