What does fashion have to do with microscopy? The new exhibition at the Botanical Garden in Potsdam shows how fashion designer Celina Hertzsprung, with the support of Dorit Siebert, has translated the beauty of microscopic structures into fashion

On Friday, June 7, 2024, the vernissage of the current exhibition "Microbiological Structures" took place in the Botanical Garden. It is the result of Celina Hertzsprung's final thesis in fashion design (HTW Berlin), which was created in collaboration with Dorit Siebert from the Biodiversity Research Group. It shows the path from the production of microscopic specimens as inspiration, the selection of prints, materials and techniques to the 5 finished great models. The exhibition runs from June 8, 2024 to August 19. 2024.

In a workshop on June 22, 2024, you can work creatively - again under the guidance of Celina Hertzsprung and Dorit Siebert. Microscopic structures will be printed on various textiles and personalized with beads and embroidery. We look forward to your visit!
