Dana Bergmann has been a visiting professor of vocational education and training since March 2025.

As a vocational and business education specialist, she conducts research on the effects of digital transformation on vocational education and training, on practical study phases in vocational teacher training, on the topics of careers, biography, and professional identity, as well as on didactic issues in vocational teaching.

Dana Bergmann is a Foundation Junior Professor of Vocational and Business Education with a focus on vocational education and training in digital transformation at the University of Osnabrück and is on leave from there for the duration of her visiting professorship.She studied vocational school teaching at the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and subsequently successfully completed her teaching internship.She then worked for several years in the field of vocational school teacher training at the University of Magdeburg and successfully completed her doctorate in 2019 on the topic of "Professional Development of Students Who Drop Out of College."
