- 2021 - 2022 HART EifelfloodS aims to collect post event data to better assess the evolution of events and damage processes related to 2022 European Floods.
- 2020 - 2024 Co-PREPARE aims to study natural hazards in the Indian Himalayas by analyzing their processes, impacts, and risks to improve preparedness and resilience.
- 2018 - 2020 CaTeNA focuses on understanding climate and tectonic interactions in High Mountain Asia to assess their impacts on landscapes, ecosystems, and hazards.
- 2015 - 2018 NatRiskChange project P1 targets to understanding landslide processes under changing boundary conditions to improve prediction.
Research
I explore spatial landslide patterns through statistical learning models to better relate landslide incidents to their triggers, such as heavy rainfalls and earthquakes. Lately, I also study urban landslides and their role in urban development. Follow me on Twitter (@oeztuerk_ugur).
