Oke Seliger
Short biography
Oke Seliger studied political science and economics at the University of Potsdam from 2017 to 2020. Subsequently, he obtained a master’s degree in political science at the University of Potsdam and the University of Tartu. For his master's degree, he was awarded a scholarship by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. During his studies, he worked at the Chair of Politics and Governance as part of the university research focus "Data-Centric Sciences". In addition, he worked as a policy advisor in the German Bundestag and most recently supported the research project "ShapingAI" as a student assistant at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG). Since February 2024, Oke Seliger has been a scientific assistant and doctoral candidate and part of the State-DNA research project.
Research
Oke Seliger is particularly interested in policy processes and the relationship between executive and legislative actors from a comparative perspective. He furthermore researches the politicization of different aspects of the digital transformation. In his research, Oke Seliger is particularly fascinated by the use and integration of natural-language-processing (NLP) and computational analysis approaches in the social sciences and explores possibilities for multilingual analysis approaches.
