Software development using Git.UP

For those in the CRC who collaboratively develop software during their reserach (e.g. software for controlling experimental setups, data handling and analysis, numerical simulation code, etc.) we strongly encourage you to use the software development and project management platform Git.UP. It offers great functionalities for collaborative software development (such as version control) and is capable of publishing code and software thus reflecting the dedication of the CRC to Open Science.

Everyone with a UP (guest) account has access to their individual Git.UP account which they may use for their personal GitLab projects.

When working on CRC-related Git.UP/GitLab projects, we strongly recommend to use the dedicated GitLab group SFB1636! This way the corresponding data and files will not be deleted when the researcher's UP account is deactivated (e.g. when leaving the University). Instead, these GitLab projects will continue to exist in the Git.UP group SFB1636!
