Jaime A. Riascos-Salas
Jaime A. Riascos-Salas is a Research Fellow and PhD student of the Potsdam Embodied Cognition Group (PECoG). He is a Mechatronics Engineer (ITM, Colombia) with a master’s degree in Computer Science (UFRGS, Brazil). His research focus involves exploring innovative approaches for Human-Robot collaboration (either physical or virtual robots), integrating multimodal interaction using BCI, emotion, and gesture recognition (video and natural language processing) based on cutting-edge approaches in Machine and Deep Learning, Embodied Cognition, and Robotics.
Jaime is a recipient of the DAAD Scholarship program "Forschungsstipendien - Promotionen in Deutschland, 2024/25". For SoSe 2024, he is teaching the seminar "Advanced Methods: Experimental Programming".
