From 21-23rd May 2014 a PhD Workshop organized by WIPCAD member Prof. Dr. Werner Jann in conjunction with the local host and long-time research collaborator Prof. Dr. Per Lægreid took place at WIPCAD's partner institution, the University of Bergen, Norway.
Fourteen PhD students, among those fellows from both Potsdam and Bergen, had the opportunity to jointly discuss the question "How do organizations jointly tackle complexity when facing wicked policy problems like climate change, cross-border welfare and tax policies or internal security and safety?" with some of the most distinguished European public administration scholars, such as Martin Lodge (LSE), Morten Egeberg (Oslo), Christopher Pollitt (KU Leuven), Arjen Boin (Utrecht) and Lise H. Rykkja (Bergen).
