On August 8, 2012 a Delegation of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) in Bangkok/Thailand will visit the University of Potsdam. The group consisting of eight faculty members and eight Thai and international Ph.D. students will be welcomed by Dr. Thomas Gebhardt (Potsdam Center for Policy and Management/PCPM), Prof. Dr. Harald Fuhr (Chair of International Politics) and Prof. Dr. Dieter Wagner (Chair of Business Studies, particularly Organisation and Personnel) of the University of Potsdam. They will, first, discuss the curriculum of a new Master's degree program in public affairs and international development of NIDA and the possibilities of exchange between the two institutions, NIDA and the University of Potsdam.
Secondly, the Delegation will hear a Presentation on Public Sector Research at the University of Potsdam: The DFG Research Training Group on “Wicked Problems, Contested Administrations: Knowledge, Coordination, Strategy (WIPCAD)” by Dipl. Pol. Katja Lass-Lennecke, the scientific coordinator of WIPCAD. She will present the most interesting points of the curriculum in the qualification program which will start in Potsdam in October 2012.
Finally, Dr. Thomas Gebhardt and Giulia Carboni (PCPM) will present the MPM program at the University of Potsdam and its key columns.
