Potsdam Science Park: Lunch & Learn | Speeding Up the Assessment of Novel Therapeutics Using Innovative Bioprocesses | Dr. Anne Zemella
The development of novel therapeutics is often hampered by lengthy assessment processes, which can delay the introduction of potentially life-saving treatments to the market. This talk explores innovative bioprocesses designed to accelerate the evaluation and optimization of new therapeutic candidates. By integrating advanced bioprocessing technologies, such as synthesis and screening of novel antibodybased therapeutics, microfluidics, and artificial intelligence, we aim to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of therapeutic assessments. Our approach facilitates rapid data generation and analysis, allowing for real-time monitoring of therapeutic efficacy and safety profiles. Additionally, we show studies demonstrating the successful application of these innovative bioprocesses in various therapeutic models focusing on oncology. The findings highlight the potential of these technologies to significantly reduce the time and cost associated with the assessment of novel therapeutics, ultimately improving patient access to innovative treatments.
