Health Workshops 2024: A Global Perspective on Nutrition and the Gut Microbiota

The way we eat affects the composition and function of our gut microbiota. At the same time, individual origin (e.g., high- or low-income country) and lifestyle (e.g., rural or urban) shape how our gut microbiota responds towards diet. Here, we will have a global perspective on differences in the human gut microbiota and learn how these may be linked to intestinal health.
